'Preservation' A working title.

I understand that I haven't posted on here for a while but with my latest idea for a project which will hopefully get a kick start within this christmas holiday I can start updating the blog with a lot more posts. 'Preservation' is an Idea that has been floating around in my head for a while, based at a small railway centre somewhere along the West coast main line as of yet undecided. The series, which will be created using trainz 2009 and if I ever get the laptop upgrade I may start using 2010, will have it's own channel on youtube leaving my channel available at the moment for the videos I will start creating in the new year of railtours in the greater manchester area especially that of the summer based tours (so yes I will be getting a video camera).
The series won't start off for a while yet as I still need to get initial story ideas down, write the story's and then I would like to get most of series 1 filmed before I release the first episode.
Notice I said series 1? Well that's up to the views. yes series 1 will definitely be created and released at a later point in time, but series 2 will only be created views dependent.
I may be looking to far ahead in time to say what the future outcome is of the series and the youtube channel, but if series 1 goes well I would like to look in to applying for a youtube partnership and get my channel advertised more. But like I say, that is a long way away and I will have to use what content is available without spending to much money.
I would like to hear your ideas on this because it could come in really useful to see what you think of the idea. hopefully by the end of christmas, I can give a bit more information on the story's and what not.

Please do not expect miracles though! The series may be released end of 2012 if I'm lucky! (which isn't the case at this moment in time)

See you in the next post!

Final stages of the west penine

Though now all text is done on the last board and other background boards connecting the national network has now been put on, all I need to do now is the final touches before release!

west penine update

Well well well, time to start off!
my latest route is nearing the end of work, just a few more boards and then final touches. I hope to put it on the dls aswell as having a version on mediafire probably.
Though fictional, I have worked on a breif history of the line. The line was opened originally by the lancashire and yorkshire railway between Nueston and carnforth with two mainline connection. The line was closed in 1965 by british rail and recently reopened to the first mainline connection at Slipkote junction. The railway reopened its double track between Chinton lane and Slipkote with no plans to extend further but work on upgrading the area and its engines.
So... Pictures are here

The cheshireman 02/04/2011

Met the cheshireman at denton on the way back to Cleethorpes. Looked like a brilliant day except from the brake issues at grimsby in the morning. Ian had actually done a whole winter maintanence programme a week early! Hes done well to do that!
Until next time!
